On April 28, 2024, the 6th annual Palm Beach International Jazz Festival will be held at the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts Rinker Playhouse in West Palm Beach, FL. This year, the festival will be held in joint celebration with UNESCO’s International Jazz Day.
Palm Beach International Jazz Festival features three jazz bands of highly acclaimed and award-winning jazz artists who have performed around the world and in south Florida. Each year’s festival features and presents an “The Future Looks Bright in Jazz Star” award to a south Florida secondary jazz music student. Palm Beach International Jazz Festival hires over 30 participants including musicians, and technical and front-of-house staff for the event. The festival is held in an intimate setting at the Kravis Center Rinker Playhouse. The audience members are comprised of residents of Florida, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Canada, and beyond. Audience attendees are of various backgrounds and ages, brought together by a shared passion for live jazz music. Tickets for the last year’s festival in 2023 were completely sold out.
Palm Beach International Jazz Festival, which was founded and is directed by an African American woman, is one of only a few U.S. jazz festivals to be established and directed by a minority. In 2019, the festival and its founder, jazz vocalist and recording artist Yvette Norwood-Tiger, were featured on PBS-South Florida: On the Town: Black Voices. Yvette Norwood-Tiger’s music story was recently featured in Palm Beach Post (Palm Beach Post 12/31/2023 - Once too shy to sing, Yvette Norwood-Tiger commands stage as jazz artist (palmbeachpost.com).

GIVE/SUPPORT: If you wish to give any amount $100 and above to support the festival, your name of choice will be listed on the festival’s website and in the digital concert program magazine as a supporter. You may also request that your gift of support remains anonymous.
